u noe..
my mom was telling me the other day..
that a olympic gold medalist, can get 1million dollars from our gvmt..
but a para-olympic gold medalist, can only get 150k..
thn my mom was like saying..
there has been discussions like..
"where is the equality here like in our pledge??"
and that kind of stuffs..
well..
i thought it's like super unfair..
i mean like..
even though it's the PARAolympics.
and not so much is expected out of the players cuz they are..
well..
paralysed..
but it's also because of that very reason why competing in the sports is equally difficult for them..
shouldn't it be like...
the same?
thn ytd i went to my cousin's hse to ask abt hw..
(well... it's free tution wat!!)
thn i was talking to my uncle abt it..
thn he was like..
anw singapore has the highest amt of reward in the world for anyone who wins the olympics..
thn my uncle was saying that maybe they thought that getting gold at the olmypics was quite impossible..
well i think la..
in the first place if the cannot afford to give so much money equally...
thn dun give la!
as in no need to give so high one ma..
winning the olympics itself is a prize itself isnt it?
and dun tell me that atheletics play for the money..
thn next time if got like more and more singaporeans winning golds at the olympics leh?
