so here i am, on the way home from syc at a relatively early timeslot, on a relatively early bus, because my mum finally realised the power of groundalisation. She has decided to give me a life sentence of 1 night and i'm not allowed to do the only thing that represents the last traces of my 'life', or rather lack of life. I have desperately and shrewdly set up moods to ask her more than 3 time to let me off with this punishment thing but to no avail. In fact, i may have revealed to her how effective this punishment is but whatever. Let me actually start the post which the title represents.
So there i was checking out facebook, which is very pointless as everyone knows cos nothing happens (it's actually quite funny cos i know many of my friends still check facebook frequently, just to see if anything that is related to them has happened, aka notifications. Yet they dont do anything on fb! So if everyone is just waiting for something to happen, NOTHING DOES!) so anw my cousin shared like 2 photos of the same idea. Basically it's about couples who grow old together (she always posts stuffs about love idk why, but sometimes i think her views about relationships are too idealistic but maybe that's just me being realistic).
But really, i have nothing against living happily ever after. I still believe that something called 'true love' exists and Happily Ever After (yes till death) can happen! What disturbed me was actually the first picture which showed 2 toddlers together. In both pictures, whether it was a kiss or not, it suggested that something romantic was starting. And that is very common cos many people (including me) think pictures like that are sweet. But if u really think about it,
WHY ARE WE ENCOURAGING SUCH YOUNG LOVE LIKE THAT?!!
I mean, at that age, i bet not all of them are even aware of the differences between boy and girl! They probably actually have pure fun and dont harbour any romantic thoughts. Please, that is probably the only true meaning and existence of platonic friendships! Why are we tarnishing such a pure, and irreversible idea and opportunity? Even our desperation, thirst and deprivation of love is not an excuse and is certainly not a reason for us to ruin the basis of all relationships: FRIENDSHIP.
So i'm gna be super dramatic over here, just because i feel like it, and come to an absolutely ridiculous conclusion that it's cos of people like us that Paedophilles are born (please forgive me if i've spelt anything wrongly. I just dont come across that word frequently and my mobile is really bad at opening 2 windows at a time; yes, even if it's dictionary.com and blogger.com at the same time)! By encouraging anything romantic for anything that young sets the basis for something perverse like pedos. I mean it's possible that that was how the idea was formed in the first place right? So as my title suggests, i'm gna be farfetched and say that everyone (yes i'm being general over here so please dont get offended [omg i love the word 'general' i cant write it in a General Paper essay {yes, the irony ikr!} but i cant write it in my blogposts cos it allows me to put up my point, however one-sided it is, and i cannot offend anyone at the same time!]) have to share the blame for paedos!
Speaking of perverse thoughts involving children, we all know Lolita right? Yknw that mind-blowing book? Well i saw an advert of this fashion brand (i genuinely cant remember what issit) and it's this girl dressed up very young-ly like schoolgirl young complete with that pair of geek specs and GUESS WHAT WAS IN HER HAND?! YES IT IS THAT BIANTAI LOLITA BOOK!
This advertising and new media thing is really ridiculous. They must be THAT desperate. But i dont know how the higher authority can approve such a measure! Sigh, the society i am in....
