i was looking at the different profile pictures people had. besides the many other impressions i had about the person with their prof pic that popped into my mind
(i dont like how your 'profile picture' is so important cos there are so many things that can be affected by what type of profile picture you have. despite my disagreements with such a situation, i cannot deny i subscribe to it also. YOU CANT HELP BUT JUDGE PEOPLE! inevitable i tell you.) ,
i also thought of the very first profile picture i had. it was like this weird girl curled up in a scrunched corner emoing.
(ok you have to understand that at that era, 'emo' was the new in. if u wanted to be cool, you emo about everything. you act like u cannot be bothered about anything, you walk around expressionless. idk. when i look back that was how i see how childish we were. maybe it's a growing stage or it was really the fad then. but i think it's damn funny how we used to be.)so my first facebook profile picture. yeah i tried to find the same one on google images again (cos that's probably where i first got it) but it's NOWHERE. the picture with the closest
feel is the one up there.
ok i have to explain my bad choice of my First Facebook Profile Picture. back then i had absolutely no intention to use it at all. my account was purely created to check facebook out. and being the noob i was and still is, i cldnt figure out how to use it then! (this is similar to how i took so long to learn how to use twitter and still have
absolutely NO IDEA how to use tumblr!) so i just anyhow anyhow put up a picture that i didnt hate.
OMG COME TO THINK OF IT, I ONLY REALLY STARTED TO USE FACEBOOK IN END OF J1 COS OF SHAOXING!!! let me check my timeline later but OMG I THINK IT'S REALLY TRUE! -floods of shaoxing+choir memories- #nostalgic #stopitgermaineso anw it was really lame. in the first picture right, the girl really looked damn emotic and skinny and had long hair. it was actually the typical ahlian chio look. just that she was probably more decent than those typical typical ahlians and ahlian wannabes. and then, like it wasnt obvious enough that the girl is
obviously me (just in case i'm not obvious enough, #sarcasm), like 1001 unknown people added me! yes, i am guilty and charged for being one of those losers who take a random chio or shuai shot from google images and pass off as their own face. just that mine was NOT ON PURPOSE. i sumpa from the bottom of my heart. if i were lying, dbsk will never get back together ever again. NEVER. not even like the Shinhwa concert that is going to be held in singapore (which i am so jealous of cos i have wait for god knows how long for dbsk to have sth like that) and if u were my friend you would know how big a sumpa that is if dbsk's cohesiveness is on the line.
and since we're on the topic of Facebook. i really dont get how people hint, suggest, or say that i overuse facebook. what's wrong with posting something up everyday? haha ok some people say it's like attracting attention to yourself, like u're very 'happening'. well i just find it quite fun to have a little quote of the day for myself! and actually, for those people who occasionally upload a photo, or update their status, THEY are the ones who are obsessessed (wdv it's spelt) about the social networking sites! cos it bothers them that whatever goes on facebook says something about them and their worried. they are worried that whatever they post are too lame, or not generic enough so that others dont classify or profile them. it's so weird. they try to look like they dont care but they actually really do! they complain complain that facebook is dead but they will only know this if they check it everyday right? lika lamez. ok dont know if i've sufficiently explained the irony cos now i'm abit confused myself. but anw
hello people, if not for people like me who update fb constantly, will there be anything on your wall at all?!! HAHAH i actually feel quite proud for using fb like that. for myself and not for the world to see ;)
so back to that picture. ok if i were to give a word for both this picture above and my actual first profile picture, it would be 'vulnerable'. Vulnerability is a very sad word. hell, even the word itself looks toppleble. ok maybe it's cos i am alr aware of the meaning of 'vulnerable'. i think it's so damn normal to feel that. and for every person who knows the meaning of this word, something inside them twitches everytime they see this word. idk. that's what happens for me. i mean, i think that for every positive thing i say feel see, there is a negative aspect for 'say feel see'. but what to do? haha for now i'm just telling myself that it is normal but idk if i'm lying to myself or not
